Richard G. Gray, DDS

A full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a particular focus on complex office-based procedures including dental implant surgery, advanced bone grafting, wisdom teeth extraction, and exposures of impacted teeth for orthodontic patients. Dr. Gray also performs intricate hospital-based procedures to including corrective jaw surgery, maxillofacial trauma, pathology and reconstruction.

Dr. Richard G. Gray is a Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (1997). This certification assures Diplomates are committed to lifelong learning, keep current in knowledge and skills, and practice in a safe and contemporary manner. Dr. Gray provides patients with the full range of oral and maxillofacial surgery services, including those requiring intravenous sedation or general anesthesia at OMS 60th/ NYC Oral Surgeon’s specially equipped and staffed office.

Dr. Gray is a graduate of Brandeis University and earned a DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He completed a one-year internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Gray then gained a year of training in anesthesia and sedation at The Medical College of Pennsylvania and then returned to New York for his residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center where he trained under Dr. Stanley J. Behrman – a pioneer in orthognathic surgery. Dr. Gray has been practicing at MOSA for over 20 years.

Dr. Richard G. Gray is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical Center and is involved with post-doctoral resident training. Dr. Gray maintains operating and admitting privileges at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
